Monday Meditation: Faith

From today’s Daily Word:

My faith is deep and abiding. I am forever one with God.

Faith is the foundation on which I stand. I nurture my faith with consistent prayer time and study of Scripture and other sources of inspiration. I remain open and receptive to the Christ spirit within.

If, momentarily, my faith feels shaky, I look back to a time when my faith felt strongest. I recapture the feelings of joy and peace in knowing my oneness with God. It may help to visit a special place where I find inspiration or call a friend who will help me stand firm. I may spend more time in meditation and prayer to renew my faith.

I am grateful for every experience that strengthens my faith and for the times that I trust God in all that I do. I am strong, and my faith is unshakable.

Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong.–1 Corinthians 16:13

Sarah’s Second Anniversary

Or to put it another way (and speaking exclusively for myself), today marks the second anniversary of the second good thing  John McCain did for his country, via Conservatives4Palin.

Thanks to RS McCain for the Twitter reminder; look forward to celebrating the second anniversary of her stellar address to the RNC — a speech that rendered the Obamaphile media, well, speechless.  At least before they set out on an unprecedented and ultimately doomed smear campaign to destroy her. Little did they know, the Mama Grizzly was not only highly accomplished, intelligent, physically fit and beautiful, she was also incredibly resilient and resourceful.

Ah, why wait a few more days? Let’s relive this memorable moment in history today, too!

Sunday Meditation: Prosperity

From today’s Daily Word:

I live in an abundant universe.

I give freely, not only of my financial resources, but also of my time, energy and love. I share from my willingness and eagerness to bless others. Whether I recycle gently-used household items, spend time tutoring a child, or volunteer to assist someone in need, I am giving from my heart. I receive the blessings of joy, satisfaction and gratitude as soon as I give to another.

As I give and receive, I realize that material possessions do not define prosperity. Prosperity is a mind-set, a consciousness, a knowing that everything we need is already supplied. My giving opens the way for God’s blessings to circulate. I give from the knowledge that I live in an abundant universe.

The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.–2 Corinthians 9:6

More from the 8/28 Restoring Honor Rally

From Katie Pavlich of Town Hall:

And for everyone who’s wondering why Fox News is MIA on coverage of this event, save for a few mentions here and there, word from Cubachi on twitter is that Glenn will be a guest on Fox News Sunday tomorrow. Still very disappointed in them for all but ignoring an historic, patriotic rally that drew anywhere from 500,000 – 1,000,000 people , but I will tune in to get Glenn’s take on the activities of the day.

Finally, God bless my wonderful, America-loving, young-at-heart parents for attending; wish I could’ve been there with you!

“America today begins to turn back to God.”

Here’s Glenn Beck at today’s Restoring Honor Rally:

And back in June, promoting the 8/28 Event:

“The people are the solution…if they’re willing to stand with honor….we’ll fix it.”

Update: Watch the entire rally at The Right Scoop.

Update 2: According to USACTIONNEWS, the Restoring Honor rally drew between 500,000 – 1,000,000 patriots. Time for O’Reilly to give up the 8 p.m. slot!

Restoring Honor Rally: Sarah Palin’s Speech

H/T: Freedom’s Lighthouse.

“Look around you, you are not alone!” Sarah exuberantly reminds the crowd after paying homage to our men and women in uniform, and three heroes in particular: Marcus Luttrell, James Eddie Wright and Tom  Kirk.

“A Providential hand has always guided us to a better future….You are not alone….You are Americans!”

Saturday Meditation: Harmony

From today’s Daily Word:

I create harmony when my actions are in accord with my beliefs.

There are times when I am tempted to go along with another’s wishes even though I am uncomfortable doing so. Just the thought of going against what I believe causes me discord. In those moments, I pause and go within to give myself time to make the choice that is right for me.

Living my life in agreement with my values creates harmony at the depths of my being. Like the clear tone of a bell, waves of harmony go forth from me to bless the people around me. Harmonious vibrations are created. When I act in accord with my beliefs, I not only create harmony for myself, but I also nurture harmony in others.

God said to him, “Because you have asked … for yourself understanding to discern what is right, I now do according to your word. Indeed I give you a wise and discerning mind.”–1 Kings 3:11-12

John Boehner calls out Dems on revisionist Iraq history

Excellent video from US Representative John Boehner goes on offense against the Obama Administration ahead of the president’s planned Iraq speech next week. It is beyond reprehensible for any Democrat who appears in this montage to take credit for our success in that effort as the ad clearly illustrates. While our troops were engaged in battle, treacherous politicians like Harry Reid were claiming the war was lost, and virulently opposing the surge.

Allah at Hot Air wonders whether Obama will graciously (and rightfully) credit George W. Bush  (in addition to our stellar men and women in uniform), for the success of this effort. Since we’re talking about a committed leftist with a narcissistic messiah complex, I’m betting no. As the Anchoress once noted of the man America elected to the highest office in the land in 2008, he’s too small.

Friday Meditation: Grace

From today’s Daily Word:

God’s grace strengthens and renews me.

Life seems to throw us curve balls every once in awhile. I may face unexpected challenges for which I feel unprepared. In these moments, I turn to God.

The grace of God is available to me whenever and wherever I need it. This powerful gift of divine support calms me, comforts me and lifts my spirits. God gives me the strength and courage to face and prevail through life’s changes and challenges. As I pray, grace fills the empty spaces in my heart or in my life. I am one with the Creator–supported by infinite love.

Guided by the still small voice within, I choose to live an empowered life. With clarity, creativity, vigor and flexibility, I gracefully move through life’s experiences.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.–1 Corinthians 16:23
